Fresh for 2022, Dj Pnutz brings you an album of completely electronically manufactured music played by a one woman virtual band with “Semi Live Entertainment.”  Presenting 17 brand new tracks made of sample free, all midi based funk, “Semi Live Entertainment” is a delight for crate diggers and computerized virtuosos alike. The two lead singles include Rhodes To Heaven, and Hotter Than Hades, featured on the 7in vinyl, are a synthesis of uptempo drum breaks and catchy baseline sure to send any party into the stratosphere.

Fusing modern technology with her classic funk and soul influences, “Semi Live Entertainment” was predominantly made using Native Instruments library of plugins and Universal Audios premier effect and mastering capabilities.  Highlighting the best of what future music has to offer by reinventing the past through sonic manipulation of 1s and 0s. Thick horns and rhythmic guitars help to drive the adrenaline on “To Catch A Killer”, while the haunting Vibraphone on “Falling Deeper In Love Everyday” is pure and enchanting.  Dj Pnutz’s signature driving drums with a Latin inspiration are an ever-present component, coupled with elements of organs adding to the richness of sound throughout. “Semi-Live Entertainment” will include her 5th vinyl release.  

She has been steadily putting out music since 2012 with over 18 digital singles and albums. Dj Pnutz is a multiple nominee and winner at The San Diego Music Awards and a contributor to the San Diego Dj scene for more than 20 years.  Her music has been featured in campaigns for Tech Deck, reviewed in Mixmag, and has spent more than 20 continuous weeks on Canadian College Radio Charts.
